- I am unable to say at what precise moment I started singing.
I remember my grandmother asking me to go buy bread. I was super happy because I knew that the way from my house to the bakery and from the bakery to my house would be of assured well-being: I was singing!
I remember when Fide, my friend and duet partner on the trova, proposed me to sing together because he felt that his songs could be more interesting harmonized with our voices. I remember that his proposal was like a blessing putting an end to all anguish and questioning about my future.
I remember my first steps in Paris singing popular Cuban dance music, the reunion with my own tradition and the collaborations with musicians from different places and styles.
I also remember clearly when I proposed to Fino to create a duet, and how he discovered himself playing and composing melodies to show my way of saying.
I remember all that very well, but the day I started singing I am unable to remember it, I only remember moments of happiness! ... I guess he sang.

- A few years ago, coming out of a rehearsal, Carlos Miguel told me: « to make good music you only need a guitar and a voice », I heard what he told me simply as a nice phrase, because at that time I liked to compose and make music for orchestra.
Un tiempo después, el teatro de Courbevoie me dio “carte blanche” para tocar en dúo y llamé a Carlos Miguel.
Preparing the concerts I understood the phrase he had told me years ago and I also felt for the first time the pleasure of listening to my guitar and a voice as if they were a single instrument.
From that moment we played countless concertos in duo and began to compose together in a symmetrical and spontaneous way, writing for me harmonies conceived especially for his voice, which Carlos finely molded with lyrics.
In 2020 I proposed to him to make an album together, which today I am proud to present with the result of years of friendship, complicity and music.
